Reid Hospital plans to conduct free information sessions to help area residents who might qualify for a new state health insurance program.
The Healthy Indiana Plan provides health insurance to uninsured Hoosiers least able to afford coverage.
To be eligible, an applicant:
Reid’s sessions will help area residents help to determine whether they qualify. If they do and need more help, residents will be able to make follow-up appointments with Reid team members for assistance with paperwork.
HIP participants will pay premiums based on their income and size of their family.
When the program fills up, applicants can be added to a waiting list.
The Reid sessions will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30; and 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. Both sessions will be in Wallace Auditorium at Reid, 1401 Chester Blvd. in Richmond.
