Ambassador makes it look easy

Lisa Hicks"In her years in Radiology, Lisa has been a student, a technologist, an educator and now a supervisor," wrote one of the nominators of the August Ambassador.

"In every role," the nomination continues, "she has been a model of excellence and has gained the respect and admiration of everyone she has served and served alongside."

Lisa Hicks, a resident of the Centerville area, joined the Reid team in March of 1989 and is known among her departmental colleagues for her habit of taking on a great deal and making it all look effortless.

"She's here for the patients, and it shows in her work," reports another nomination. "Lisa is a great example of the C.A.R.E. standards. It doesn't matter what the problem or concern is: She is always there to make the patient's visit better."

Originally of Richmond and now a resident of the Centerville area, Hicks graduated from Richmond High School in 1985 and from the Reid School of Radiologic Technology in 1990.

"Always there to answer questions, easy to talk to and with a great sense of humor, Lisa is an amazing colleague," wrote a typical nominator of a friend who started at Reid as a transporter and clerk.

Reciprocating Reid's regard, the August Ambassador writes, "I enjoy working at Reid because of the family atmosphere. Everyone pitches in to make the work load easier, lighter and more enjoyable."

Lisa and her husband, Kevin, an employee of H.I.S. Constructors, attend the Lighthouse Assembly of God in Richmond where she is active in the choir and Praise Team. She has two sons and two stepsons.
