In an 11-year career at Reid Hospital & Health Care Services, Jamie Munchel, a radiologic technologist, has secured her colleagues’ esteem for her invariable devotion to patients and consistently positive mindset.
In requisitioning for Munchel the Ambassadorship of the Month for July, her peers repeatedly cited a cheerfulness that amounts to method and a DNA-level assimilation of the C.A.R.E. principles.
“Jamie is always willing to help others. Her thoughtfulness helps put patients at ease,” one nominator wrote of the New Paris, Ohio resident.
Another cited Munchel’s ability to communicate true compassion with her luminous smile.
“Jamie always sees the good in everyone,” affirmed one writer. “And she always finds the positive in every situation.”
Innately polite, judged one nominator, who found Munchel’s enthusiasm to be sustained fully by her knowledge and competence.
“I work with Jamie on third shift, and she is never short with anyone, even when she’s had a demanding day and little sleep. She’s always helping make your day a little better,” noted another technologist.
Originally of Centerville, Munchel graduated from high school there in 1991 and from the Reid School of Radiologic Technology in 1996. Her husband, Brian, is employed by Ludy Greenhouse Mfg. in New Madison, Ohio.
Their sons, Camren and Carsen, are seven and five years old, respectively.
“I feel blessed to be a part of the Reid family,” Munchel wrote. “I work with the most amazing people who genuinely care for one another and -- more importantly – care for the patients and their families.”
